The First Draft

Hi there!

In celebration of our offer on a house going through, I’ve decided to start accumulating plants. How will it go? Who knows.

I’ll be honest. Historically, I’m not great with plants. I got two succulents when I moved in to my dorm in college, and I had to bring one home for my dad to take care of STAT because it couldn’t help itself. It’s like it wanted to die. (Don’t worry, it basically revived itself AS SOON as it sensed his presence. Idk how he does it.)

HOWEVER. I love plants. I got a succulent subscription and I got my first two plants on September 29, and so far so good. I’m doing lots of reading, messaging my friends who are good with plants, and hoping for the best with them.

I also got to run home this weekend and grab a cactus I’ve had since my freshman year (he replaced one of the deceased succulents) and an aloe vera plant since my dad has them coming out his ears! I’m less worried about those two, since they’re pretty hardy plants, but I’m still going to do my best to monitor them.

I’m still SUPER stressed about the whole house buying process, so my posts will be limited for a while, but I thought it would be nice to do an update about my new plant friends!
