Today is my birthday! I was expecting my villagers to know, but I wasn’t expecting them to throw me a party.
Hornsby was waiting outside of my house this morning to take me to my birthday party at his house! There was a cake with candles that I got to blow out, they sang to me, and they gave me birthday cupcakes to share around the island! Every time I greeted someone today they told me happy birthday, and most of them even gave me gifts. I think the only person who didn’t say happy birthday to me was Tom? But I might just have deleted it from my memory when I saw how much I owe him for my latest house expansion (1.2 mil).
K.K. Slider was there, and he sang me his birthday song this morning and has been hanging around for the rest of the day. One of my favorite things was the letters that appeared while he was singing from villagers and other NPCs from around the island, like Blathers Tommy and Timmy. Honestly though, I’m surprised Tom isn’t making a bigger deal out of K.K. being there…Was it only a momentous occasion the first time his idol came to the island?
Anyway. Suspicions about Tom Nook aside, it was a good birthday. We may be in quarantine, but my Animal Crossing villagers don’t have to social distance!
