The First Draft

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what I want to do, lately. I miss learning, and I want to advance my career. After all, I’m only 22!

I’ve thought about MBAs, Psychology Degrees, Masters Programs in Creative Writing and M.Eds. I think I might want to go back to my academic roots though! I loved my Journalism B.A. program (with a concentration in Advertising of course).

I’d say my top choice right now would be the University of Missouri’s online Journalism program with a concentration in either Interactive Media or Strategic Communication. It does have a three year work experience requirement, which I am nearly a year into at this point, but that’s not that big of a draw back. My current financial goal is to buy a house, so I don’t have the money to pay for a Masters Program in the near future.

Outside of Journalism and Advertising, another thing I’ve considered is the hospitality industry. I loved my time at Disney World, and I’d love to venture into theme parks as a career. Whether it is as an advertising creative or in a new (to me) capacity in the hospitality industry.

Either way, it’s safe to say I’m going to be a graduate student sooner or later!
