3/28-4/10
It took me nearly 4 months to meet the boss.
So this is really late, but it’s fine. As expected, the days are going by really fast now that we’re halfway through the program. I’m really tired, but I’m having a lot of fun. I’ve kind of just accepted that I can sleep when I get home at this point. I’ve definitely still been working a lot, but I’ve also had a lot of time to do fun things!
It was nearly a month ago now, but on the 28th I went to Universal with one of my coworkers. Now I’ve been to the Dr. Suess section in Islands, and been through the Poseidon’s Fury show/ride thing. The most exciting thing was definitely the food, naturally, because we got cupcakes in the Dr. Seuss section of the park and butter beer flavored clotted cream and pumpkin juice at the Leaky Cauldron. It was a dessert kind of day. The next day I went to DAK with one of my other friends from work. We saw Kevin from Up, rode Kali River Rapids now that it’s reopened, ate lunch at Yak and Yeti, and convinced one of our other friends from work to meet us. We traded pins (and answered mystery pin questions!), rode Dinosaur, and I FINALLY met Mickey and Minnie. After that, we went to Magic Kingdom, ate at Casey’s Corner, and watched Happily Ever After. We went on Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, and Pirates, and then we came back to the apartment and talked until like 4:30 in the morning. Overall, it was a solid day.
The next day I had work, and after that we went to Jellyrolls. It’s kind of a Sunday tradition now, and it was definitely the most important part of that day. A lot of our other friends from work were there, so we all got to hang out for a while. It was fun!
On April 2nd, I got some really good news, but I’m going to talk more about that later (sorry not sorry). The next day I didn’t work until the afternoon, so I went to Disney Springs and got Chicken Guy. I had a closing shift, and I drew one of the easiest closing positions, and I got home to find out that my roommates got me donuts! It was another really great day.
I was off the next day, so I went to the Florida Mall. They have Hot Topic, ThinkGeek, and some stores with really cute clothes. Shopping is growing on me, and honestly I’m not upset about it. We went to the Bento Cafe for lunch, and it was honestly amazing. After that, I went home and then I went to go see Us in Disney Springs with Sarah and Darian, and it was a really good movie.
My next day off was Saturday, and I went to Universal with Sarah, Kelley and Patrick! We rode the Hulk, the Jurassic Park ride, and went on the Hogwarts Express. We rode Escape from Gringotts, got witch cupcakes, and then rode the Mummy and Transformers! After that we went to Disney Springs for D-Lux Burger. After that, Patrick and I went to one of our other friend’s apartment to watch some movies, and his dog was there! Honestly, it was great.
The next few days were work, so nothing really interesting happened until the 9th. A bunch of my roommates were off, so we went to Cracker Barrel and then Cast Connections. After we got back, some of us went to Magic Kingdom. We got rained on, so that was fun, but it was fun. I finally went on the Carousel of Progress, and after we got home Sarah and I went to BJs for pizookies and then the outlets. It’s safe to say that I did a lot of shopping at the beginning of the month.
I had the next day off, too, and we went horse back riding! We went to Chicken Guy for lunch, got our Traditions ears embroidered, and went to Hollywood Studios. Tower of Terror only had a ten minute wait, so we went straight there and then went to Rockin’ Rollercoaster before the park closed.
It was a great two weeks! Maybe my next update will be on-time, but we’ll see.
