One month down, three more to go!

Kylo Ren can definitely smell fear.

On Thursday, February 14, I had officially been here a month! I survived, and I think I’ll make it all the way to the end of the program in one piece. This specific day, I worked (not a suprise), but I didn’t have to close and that’s always exciting. I even got a ride home, so I didn’t have to ride the bus, and my coworkers got me chinese food. Overall it was a good day, but there’s not much more to say about it.

I had the next day off, so I went grocery shopping, got Starbucks, and then went to Hollywood Studios. I finally got to ride Rockin’ Roller Coaster, and I loved it. The ride was actually down when I got there, so I was the fourth person in the single rider line. If I had gotten on any faster, I would’ve walked on the ride. After that, I went and met Mike and Sully from Monster’s Inc., and then I had a FastPass for the Beauty and the Beast show, which was really cool! It’s like a condensed Broadway musical. I got tachos and an ice cream float in Toy Story Land for lunch, because why not. As Sarah said, when you’re in Toy Story Land you’re a toy, so regular diet rules don’t apply. My next FastPass was for Star Tours, so wandered around until then. That’s a really cool ride, and I want to go on it more because I’ve heard that you’re in a different simulation every time. I also got to meet Chewbacca (LOVE) and Kylo Ren. Honestly, I almost didn’t walk in the room to see Kylo. I was nervous, because he’s an intimidating character in the movies. I was right, and he was very intimidating, but it was still really cool to meet him. My last FastPass of the day was Tower of Terror, which is definitely a contender for my favorite ride, and them I went home, relaxed, and watched Solo, because I had to work the next six days.

Nothing else terribly interesting happened until Tuesday. I worked 12-6, so when I got to work (early) I spent my extra time looking at FastPasses. I wasn’t sure that I wanted to go to a park at all until I saw a Seven Dwarves Mine Train FastPass for that evening, and then I was suddenly going to Magic Kingdom. Two of my coworkers got off at around the same time as me, so we all went to Magic together and rode Haunted Mansion and Jungle Cruise, and then we split up so I could go to my Mine Train FastPass and they could go to Splash Mountain. I finally got to walk through Cinderella’s Castle when I was on my way to Fantasy Land, so that was cool. The day ended with Dole Whips, and then I came home and watched Big Hero 6 with my roommates!

And then there was Wednesday. AKA, more work.
